Point Rock Golf Club

The opening hole is the longest of the two Par 5s. It drops 40 feet from the tee to the green and out-of-bounds along the right side and just behind the green. Over six feet of soil was removed from the landing area during construction to give it its bowl look. Be careful big hitters, out-of-bounds gets tighter as you get closer to the green.

This short Par 3 will be hard most of the time due to it plays into the wind. With out-of-bounds on the right and bunker short left, and native rough long left, you will have to be a good short iron player to par this hole. Be careful of a mound on the right side that could knock any stray shot out of bounds.

This Par 5 is short but tough. With four bunkers, two in the landing zone and two guarding the green. You will have to play smart shots to make your par. Be safe on your 2nd shot with the cart sheds on the left, or you could hit someone and you'll be out-of-bounds.

The shortest Par 4 on the course could leave you in Oklahoma on your second shot if hit too hard. The center of the green is less than 30 yards from Oklahoma. Driving this green it could happen but with out-of-bounds on the right and five bunkers, three in the landing area and two around the green, you'll have to hit the drive of your life to get it on the green. A tip - this hole will play into a stronger southwest wind than anywhere else on the course as there are no trees yet on this hole.

This hole was built over a runway of the nearby airport. It does have three bunkers that will get any stray shot you hit to the left side. Playing downwind most of the time is your best chance to make a good score. Be careful; out-of-bounds is along the right side and behind the green.

The start of the three largest holes on the course begins with this dogleg right par 4. With a testy drive between out-of-bounds on the left and a lateral water hazard on the right, it will test the best players' shot-making ability. Be safe on this hole for if you damage a house, it is your responsibility to fix it. A tee shot landing in the fairway will leave you a middle iron to the green. Take note of the pin placement for this green that is more than 30 yards deep. You could leave yourself with a long uphill putt if left short of the pin.

This Par 3 is our signature hole due to the forced carry over the pond and the retaining wall just in front of the green. This puts this hole on top of any other par 3 in the area. Playing into a crosswind doesn't help matters either. This green is a big one but only 45 feet deep and a slope of three feet from back to front could leave anyone hitting their shot over the green looking a bogie in the face. The safest play is to the left of the green it's a shorter shot over the water and you will have all the green to work with.

Don't be aggressive with this hole it is short but with a semi-blind second shot into the green, short is better than long. Any ball hit too far will end up out-of-bounds, as the back of the green slopes away. It does have two bunkers on the left of the fairway for anyone trying to find a shortcut. To see the green better hit it long and right. There is one bunker on the left side of the green that you could find.

The final hole at Point Rock, a Par 4 that has a blind tee shot to deal with and a lone fairway bunker on the left side. To find the green first aim your tee shot at the telephone pole that is behind the green. Hit it to the right or left and you will have to deal with trees on your second shot. A well-placed drive will leave you a short iron to the green here - again don't go over too much or you could be out-of-bounds.
